Weather is getting better!

Sunday 28th feb, Absolutely pissing down with rain again, so went out for a nice little cross country run with Jimbo, we did 8.57 miles in 1.06.40, nice and steady felt good (apart from the rain)
Did some totals for the month - I ran a total of 67.94 miles at an average pace of 8 min miles which is a total of 8 hours 31 mins, and biked for 82.54 miles avg speed 18.1mph total time of 4.27.24

Monday 1st March, spring time! did the usual evening turbo session, 45 mins nothing to taxing,

Tuesday 2nd, went to the gym on the way home from work did about 50 mins in total, 3 mile run in 20.21 then 10 miles on the bike sweating buckets.

Wednesday 3rd, swim session, as usual hard work did a total of about 2300m in an hour, distances on the sets going up through the session. Feeling slightly more comfortable swimming now but still not swimming quickly.

Thursday 4th, A monster session, started with a 19 mile ride on the TT Bike, felt slightly more confident this time but is going to need lots more practice yet ( may cause more conflict with home life) time was 53.15 avg speed 21.4 mph Hr avg 143 max 159.
Then the 6 mile run, started slow and got progressively quicker, split times were mile 1, 7.35 2, 6.57 3, 6.47 4, 7.01 5, 6.37 6, 6.12 Heart rate was again mental Avg 180 max 233 strap and watch were the same position etc for the bike and the run, unexplainable as yet!
Then on to Steve's Gym session a good 1/2 hour spinning then a killer 1/2 hour doing sit up's.

Friday, a well earned rest day, races are now getting closer.

  1. Conflict? I was told that if my relationship with my wife was still intact then I wasn't training hard enough.
    It's surprising how little it actually takes though and of course she's over the moon with the new bike...
