Monday,19th April, after a hard effort on Sunday at the tri, woke up early and went for a gentle 3 mile run out on the marshes, just to ease my legs out a little, didn't feel to stiff so generally happy.
Tuesday, another early morning run covered 3.6 miles nice and easy, then in the evening after working late went for a run out to Carlton marshes, did a fartlek session, with 4 x 1/2 mile efforts at about 6 min mile pace, did a total of 6 miles in 42 mins.
Wednesday biked to and from work which is a total of 21 miles, went to work reasonably easy and then pushed hard home, 10.5 miles in 28.20 not startling but ok with a rucksack and getting stuck at traffic lights, then did the swim session which I found hard after missing a couple of weeks, covered 2100m mostly 400m sets.
Thursday, the bike ride was the Reedham ferry route, again a few punctures and a lost Marine kept the pace down but we covered a distance of about 40 miles, finished strong with a good push from Haddiscoe.
Friday and Saturday were taken as rest days, still working hard on the house!
Sunday, after doing more work at home did make time for a quick run, went out with joe for 3 miles nice and steady, then went out on my own for another 6 miles, did a reasonably hard run round the ski lane X country run, the route is quite hard and uneven now and beginning to get overgrown, managed about 7.30mins /mile.
Waveney triathlon is not far away now, must try and improve on last years performance.
